We practiced real scenarios—role plays, live retros, and feedback loops. Seeing the tactics in action made the shift clear and genuinely energizing; each tool gently nudged the team dynamics and my personal habits, turning abstract models into behaviors that stick.

More About TTC

How to earn the ICF ACTC credential

If you already hold an ICF credential (ACC, PCC, or MCC), earning your ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) requires four key steps – and our TTC program helps you complete two of them!

Included in the TTC program

1. Education – 60 hours of team coaching education

2. Coaching Supervision – 5 hours of coaching supervision

Your responsibility

3. Experience – Logging 5 team coaching engagements over the past 5 years.

Administered by ICF

4. Written Exam – Once you meet the first three requirements, apply directly to ICF for the ICF Team Coaching Certification Exam. Pass it, and you’re officially ACTC certified!

Who is this program for?

TTC is designed for experienced coaches, internal leaders, facilitators, and L&D professionals who want to build their confidence and capabilities in coaching real teams. An active ICF credential (ACC, PCC, or MCC) is recommended if you’re pursuing ACTC certification.

Is TTC accredited by ICF?

Yes. The Team Coach is an ICF Advanced Accreditation in Team Coaching (AATC) program. It provides the 60+ hours of team coaching education and five hours of coaching supervision required for the ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) application pathway. Applicants must also hold an active ICF credential, complete five team coaching engagements within the past five years, and pass the ICF Team Coaching Certification Exam.

What’s the duration and format of the program?

The program runs over 4–6 months, including live sessions, group supervision, and observed team coaching practice. All sessions are conducted online to accommodate a global cohort and flexible schedules.

What if I don’t have an ICF credential yet?

You do not need to hold an ICF credential to join the TTC program. However, to apply for ICF ACTC, you must already hold an ACC, PCC, or MCC credential. If you don’t yet have one, we recommend starting with The Performance Coach (TPC) program – our ICF-accredited pathway that prepares you to pursue ACC certification.

How is TTC different from other team coaching programs?

TTC is not just a theory-heavy course. It blends evidence-based frameworks (like the 6 Team Conditions, Transactional Analysis, Theory U, and Action Learning) with real-world coaching practice, supervision, and tools drawn from high-performance environments like sport, military, and business.

Can I take the TTC program part-time?

Yes, the TTC program is designed to be flexible and can be taken part-time to fit around your existing commitments.
